Workshops, Master Classes and Summer Vocal Institute
Our Summer Vocal Institute, Educational Workshops and Master Classes are meant for any singer who is looking for their first step or the next step in their career as an opera singer. Our summer institute is designed for beginning to intermediate level students in their vocal studies and provides a basis or an addition to their training.
Our Workshops are meant for any singer who wants to develop skills while we are learning virtually or in person. It is taught by Houston's leading emerging artists who are currently involved in the opera community through performance and teaching.
Through instruction by teaching and performing artists based in Houston, we will provide performance opportunities, intensive study in appropriate roles for the current voice type, qualified teachers/coaches, score study, ear-training/sight-reading as well as access to master classes by professionals in the classical music field.
After our program, we know that you will have the basics to move forward an opera/classical singer representing the finest talent Houston has to offer.
This year, we are re-launching our Summer Vocal Institute. We are looking for 3-5 students to participate, grow and give us feedback in shaping our program for future students! Our ideal student is a high school junior/senior, community college or university student, who is interested in opera or music education as a career.
Students will take courses with various Houston based teachers and participate in the Midsummer Soiree Concert on August 2 with the I Colori dell'opera Studio Artists.
